    Try to supply your goods in the market at the earliest. Because if no goods - no business, and if no business - no 'revenue'.
    Once you have good amount of items and goods to supply, open a line of businesses. A number of businesses gives you a bunch of coins. Once you start rolling this way, climbing the ladder of wealth doesn't take long!
    Also, happens to be one of the most important part of the game, visiting your friends' cities and homes. This helps to achieve their own goals once they start planting and harvesting their own crops to gather lots of coins and XP points in turn.
    Also, try to send some of your friends a few gifts to maintain a friendly relationship with them. This would help you to import goods from different cities, making them rich momentarily, but some way all the coins and points would be coming back to you too. You see sometimes a game is all about strategy and less hard work!
    Another important strategic guideline to note while playing CityVille is, choose the right places to build your homes or buildings. Community buildings can be built anywhere you wish to, but be careful when you construct homes and business offices. Strictly build them all next to any sidewalks or roads. It will attract attention. Also if you build your home where there is a lot of population, soon the space in your city will be limited. There is when you make the most out of it. Also remember to build your decorations nearby your house 'coz it distributes coins in the form of a rent.
